Caught my Eye Friday

Here is some cool stuff I found around the internetz this week!

Like most of the world I am obsessed with Henri Le Chat Noir. But I feel akin to him in many ways, he may be my new spirit animal.

Le sigh

Continuing on that depressing note, this song pretty much sums up the fears of a generation in a truly funny sad a way.

Okay let’s cheer up please, bring on the cute stuff!

Check out these totes amazeballs shoes from Etsy seller Pony Chops. (Pictures link to shop.)

Each of these hand painted shoes are so unique and fun and are sure to garner a lot of attention and squees of cuteness! They run about a hundred US dollars, and they also take custom orders so you can get a pair in your size or a print of you wildest kawaii dreams.

In other cute shoes news, Fab.com is has some of the Twenty10 Hello Kitty Footwear on sale for the next few days.

I already have these two

Now I grabbed these two!

Asos is having their mid season sale right now, and a bunch of their Curve line is on sale. Here are a few of my favorites (Pictures link to site).

This cute nautical dress comes in red or navy and is marked down to $29!

This color is everywhere right now, and this top is only $22!

I got these zippered leggings in their last sale. Super comfy and only $20!

This beautiful Aztec print skirt is complete with a knitted pom pom detail, marked down to $32.

More collars please! And some detail to your usual Wednesday Adams look in this dress. It also comes in a pretty purple and on sale for $32.

Seriously debating on whether or not to get these shorts, marked down to $33.

This metallic shift dress keeps calling my name, and marked down to $45 it’s calling even louder.

And to close this edition of Caught my Eye Friday, here is the Queen Cat we must all bow down to.

Fatshion February Leftovers

Eeep it’s March already, and I’m afraid I didn’t get too many outfits into my first Fatshion February. But good news, I’m starting a new job, and my birthday is coming up, so I promise I’ll have plenty more outfits to post. But for now, here are two leftovers from February.

Whenever I go to this particular nightclub I have the urge to pull my hair into a side pony tail and bring out the neon.

Fatshion February 1: In Living Color

If you are on tumblr you may have heard of Fatshion February. If not it is a project created by Jessie Dress last year to showcase all of the beautiful fat fashions from around the world. To learn more and to participate visit the official Fatshion February page. Well since I just joined Tumblr mid-february of last year I didn’t participate but I plan to take as many ootd posts as I can this time around.

For this outfit I was feeling a super 90s vibe and the need to wear my hair in a side pony tail. My bf took these pictures so they kind of suck lol.

Outfit Details:
Top: Dots size XL
Skirt: Domino Dollhouse size 2xl
Leggings: Lane Bryant size AB
Belt: NY & Comp. size XL
Earrings: Etsy Seller Found Objects
Necklace: Lia Sophia
Bracelet: Claire’s
Shoes: Doc Martin for Sanrio

I bought this belt recently and I am so excited. I love the color yellow but I don’t think it looks very good against my skin tone to wear it in shirts or dresses. So I am constantly on the lookout for awesome yellow accessories and shoes. Seriously I want to wear this belt with everything I own; I already have a few outfits planned for it with a bunch of dresses.

Are you participating in Fatshion February? I hope you do! Leave your Tumblr page in the comments so I can follow you and you can find mine here!

Belated Xmas Ootd and Contest Winner!

Eeep It’s already mid January and I still haven’t posted any holiday outfits. I am behind on the times. Well after I got back from my cruise I got really sick, so I decided to spend christmas day curled up in bed in my pjs hugging a kitty while my family went out. So the only christmas outfit I have is from a friend’s pot luck dinner from the beginning of the month.

Outfit Details:
Top: Express size Large
Jacket: Torrid size 1
Skirt: Etsy seller PrototypeDesign size Medium
Belt: NY & Company size XL
Tights: We Love Colors size c/d
Earrings: Lia Sophia
Necklaces: Sanrio and Lia Sophia
Bracelet: Gift from mom
Shoes: ShoeDazzle

Let’s start with this skirt; if I could, I would wear it everyday. I first saw this Miu Miu inspired skirt on tumblr and knew it had to be mine. Well I first saw these Miu Miu shoes and knew they had to be mine…but without the price tag.

So the skirt was a very happy alternative. After conversing with the owner of Prototype Designs I was able to get a skirt in my size and I was in love. It was well worth the wait. Seriously if you have not checked this shop out yet, do it now. Along with cats, there are birds, bows, polka dots, florals, scarves, and everything else you’ve been craving.

The shoes, called Aubrey, from ShoeDazzle are the highest heels I have ever owned. I hemmed and hawed over ordering them, but they are just so similar to Jeffrey Campbell’s Litas, I just couldn’t let them pass. I have to say the height wasn’t too bad. I don’t think I could wear them if I had to stand or walk for a very long time, but they were perfect for a dinner party. I got a lot of compliments too and a lot of “I could never wear such high heels.” Me neither lol, but the width of the heel and the platform helped a lot. And I got to be taller than everyone!

Okay maybe Pushheen has different ideas on what your cat wants for christmas.

Here is some other cool stuff from around the web

Cut to the Chase

So my recent obsession is the shoe club, Shoe Dazzle. If you haven’t heard of it yet, it’s an online store which you sign up for, take a style test, and then shoes, bags, and jewelry sets are chosen for you every month based on your results. Every item is $39.95 and many are inspired by designer brands like L.A.M.B and Missoni. They also feature shoes designed by celebrities for charity, weekly special deals, and reward points for purchases. And in case you don’t see anything you don’t want, you can easily skip a month, hassle and commitment free.

I just signed up with Shoe Dazzle at the beginning of the month, and I am already hooked. Not only do I love their shoes, but their customer service is amazing. They are super friendly and their facebook page is filled with employees and happy customers ready to answer any questions or give advice within minutes of posting.

Since I am not a fan of super high heels, I was afraid that I wouldn’t find too many items that I liked. But I customized my showroom to list flats, wedges, and kitten heels; and I was really happy with the variety of these styles that they provided.

My first purchase was on a flat boot called Chase. I loved the riding boot look of these, and since I am not the biggest fan of brown, I thought the color would go great with a ton of outfits.

Here’s what I wore:

Outfit Stats:
Top: Fashion to Figure size 1x
Cami: NY & Company size XL
Jeans: Source of Wisdom via Torrid size 18
Necklace: Etsy Seller Enchanted Lockets
Ring: Etsy Seller Sweet as Candy
Earrings: Betsey Johnson via TJ Maxx
Shoes: Chase from Shoe Dazzle

Overall the shoes were very comfy, and I am very happy with them. My only complaint, and one that seems true for a lot of Shoe Dazzle shoes, is that they run a little small. They fit my size 8.5 foot, but they were a bit snug in the toe area. If you have a wider foot I would recommend going up half a size in the majority of their shoes (also they carry up to size 11).

So if you are interested in joining Shoe Dazzle I would definitely go for it. You can also just sign up and take the shoe quiz and see some styles with no commitment; you aren’t signed up for the monthly program until you make a purchase. Also, if you sign up using the link below you will receive 20% off your first purchase! Happy Day!

Shoe Dazzle 20% off Link!

PS: This is my honest opinion, I was not paid or endorsed by Shoe Dazzle to write this post, nor am I part of their affiliate program. I paid for their services with my own money and I am a happy customer!

Lost and Found

I recently won a contest over at Curves and Chaos for my choice of jewelry from the etsy store Found Objects. I really loved the idea of the art behind the jewelry, taking “found” recycled leather and creating into something beautiful, and I was so happy to have won! I chose the recycled leather multi strip earrings, I loved the feather effect the give, and the bright colors go great with any outfit. They are perfect for summer.

Top: G&G XL
Pants: Tripp via Torrid size 18
Earrings: Etsy seller Found Objects
Shoes: Betseyville via Macy’s
Bracelets: Claires

There are a whole bunch of other awesome items at Found Objects and it was a hard choice, but I am so happy with these earrings, you need to go check them out immediately!
