What I did on my Winter Vacation

So I was very lucky this year and I had the chance to go on a Disney Cruise to the islands of St. Maarten and St. Thomas. It was a pretty spontaneous trip and we left about a week before Christmas, making the month even more of a whirlwind. But I really had so much fun and I took way too many pictures, so of course I have to share them with you!

Day One:
We left Florida with a beautiful sunset behind us.

There was a tree lighting ceremony and Mickey and Minnie showed up in their best Chistmas attire.

Day Two:
Sunrise at Sea

I decided to try a tequila tasting, three shots of Patron, two margaritas, plus they made a margarita in my mouth!

We also has a formal dinner night.

Day Three:
Met Snow White and Dopey

But spent most of the day in the pool.

Day Four: St. Maarten
Land Ho!

This is one of the most extreme airports in the world, planes land right on the beach on an extremely short runway.

I also went snorkeling here, which I’m not going to lie I was a little nervous about at first, but I really, really loved it. The water was so warm and I saw a few interesting fish. Unfortunately the underwater camera we bout wasn’t the greatest and I ended up with a lot of pictures of rocks.

Later that night the and I asked for eyeliner tips from Captain Jack Sparrow

Day Five: St. Thomas

I met a donkey named Monica Lewinsky,

and I found a very large bottle of rum!

Day Six: Princess Day!

Day Seven: Castaway Cay
This is Disney’s own private island in the Bahamas, and let me just say it was so nice I could have spent an entire trip there.

The water was crystal clear and so shallow, it was like bathwater.

I took a glass bottom boat tour and fed some fishies, and I was also very adventurous and decided to try parasailing!

I was pretty nervous but it was actually so smooth and was scary at all. It was just like sitting in a swing very high up in the air.

With that, my adventure was over and it was time to go home, but not without making one last stop at the airport’s Hello Kitty store!

Obligatory I’m on a Boat

A couple of weeks ago I traveled to upstate New York for a wedding at Seneca Lake. It was so  beautiful and relaxing up there; I only wish we could have gone a couple of weeks later so we would have gotten the full extent of the leaves changing. I wanted to share some pictures with you from the trip and of course what I wore to the rehearsal dinner and the wedding.

Beautiful sunset

Being a tourist!

Hey Look! I did the impossible I wore a bridesmaid dress again (even if it was to another wedding). That was the really nice thing about this dress and short bridesmaid dresses in general, is that they are versatile and comfortable enough you don’t feel like a crazy person wearing them again.

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes

As I told you in my latest posts, recently my brother got married in Disney World and I was  one of the bridesmaid. It was such a fun wedding to be a part of and I wanted to share some of my pictures from the day.

The Disney chapel was beautiful and you could even see Cinderella’s castle from the window behind the altar.

Me and the bf

My mom said the chairs behind me in this picture look like mickey mouse ears.

There was a Princess and the Frog theme.

Probably the best cupcakes ever, I can still taste them!

I even got to dance with Mickey!

Minnie was there too!

Oh yeah and there was a candy bar, which equals a very happy me!

On a side note:

Don’t forget to vote for me in 365Hangers Style a Shape contest! I am currently tied for 2nd place and I could really use some votes. Voting is super easy, you must have a facebook account, click on the link here, and then like my picture. I am one of the few plus sized entries in a contest about styling for your shape and it would mean so much to me if I won, so please check it out!

Too ra loo ra too ra loo rye aye

I promised some pics from my recent trip to Ireland; I’ll try to keep it to a minimum since I took almost 200 hundred, and I don’t want to make this into a boring slideshow event.

Clang, clang, clang went the trolley

I haven’t been blogging lately because I’ve been taking a few fun vacations. First I visited St Louis with my boyfriend. It was during Mardi Gras and we had a lot of fun and indulged ourselves in drinking and debauchery. The Mardi Gras there is supposed to be the second biggest in the US after New Orleans, and although we missed the opening parade; the people of St Louis were incredibly friendly and welcoming and would invite you into just about any house party that was going on. We got funky hats and tons of bead, and no I didn’t flash anybody. Whenever someone would ask me to I would reply that it was too cold, then my bf would flash his chest lol!

We also saw the arch which was really cool. Going up inside it was a bit of a scary ride. You have to squish into these things called trams, which are more kind of like pod shaped elevators, while they take you up a long, creaky sounding ride. But the view from the top is definitely worth it.

The area of St Louis that we stayed in is called the Delmar Loop, it has a few attractions of its own like Blueberry Hill, a restaurant and theater where Chuck Berry often performs; but its main appeal to me was tons of shopping! It’s filled with a bunch of really cool and offbeat places to find just about anything you are looking for.

I bought these two cute little kitties from a store specializing in items from India and other eastern countries.

And I bought these super adorable hats of Luna from Sailor Moon and the Cat Bus from My Neighbor Totoro from an anime and comic book shop called Star Clipper

My boyfriend also got me some cool jewelry, a change purse, and an incense holder from a plow sharing craft store. But my best finds were at a vintage store called Avalon Exchange. Unlike the other vintage stores on the strip, they had a lot of options for plus sizes, including a bunch of stuff from torrid. I ended getting a pair of red and black leopard creepers by TUK, a pair of earrings that I’m pretty sure are from Betsey Johnson, a cute Hello Kitty necklace, a sweater dress from Torrid, and an awesome tiger print scarf.

Check out my outfit here…
